Situated on the south east coast of Majorca, between the resorts of Cala d´Or and Porto Colom, the Vall d’Or opened in 1985. The course designed by Bradford Benz was originally 9 holes that was extended to 18 holes in 1993.
Vall d’Or's opening hole is a 152m par 3, but don’t be fooled into thinking this is a gentle start stoke index 8 suggests otherwise. The toughest hole is the 402m par 4 16th - there is a pond in driving range and then the second is played to an elevated green. You begin your round at Vall d’Or with a par 3 and you end your round with a par 3. Like the first the last is no push over, the green is well protected by bunkers and mature trees - 18 deserves its rating of stroke index 5.
