Founded in 1962 the Vale do Lobo is much more than a golf complex. Over the years this 400 hectare estate has developed into a resort that offers something for all the family. There is a 14 court tennis academy, an impressive spa and fitness suite, various water sports and two 18 hole golf courses.
The late Sir Henry Cotton originally designed two nine hole courses back in the sixties, these were combined in 1995 to form the Ocean Golf Course. The Royal Golf Course was designed by Rocky Roquemore and opened to the public in 1997.
Vale do Lobo has hosted European Tour events.
