About Los Lagos Mijas Golf Course
Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed both golf courses at the Mijas golf complex, with the Los Lagos being the first 18 holes opening in1976. While Fuengirola is the nearest resort to Mijas golf the complex is within relatively easy reach of Marbella and Benalmadena which results in a wide range of accommodation for golfers to choose from. Being within easy reach of these three major resorts ensures that golfers can plan a trip to meet both their budget and accommodation requirements.

The 18 holes at Los Lagos, measuring 6367 metres, offer a long but fair course. The fairways are generous and reasonably flat, but beware of the strategically placed bunkers and water hazards that will catch a misplaced drive. You start your round at Los Lagos with a 508m par five, this is followed by a gentle stoke index 17 par 3 measuring 160m. The most difficult hole is the par 5 fifth. This massive hole that measures 564m narrows as you approach the green, with water on the right and out of bounds on the left be happy with a bogey and walk to the next tee. The final hole is a gentle par 4, that at stoke index 16 and measuring 334m, offers you a real opportunity of ending your day at Los Lagos with a par.
